Good Breeding Shows
but. . . . .
GREAT Breeding Shows Better!
|
|
When it's time for hoof trimming, worming and vaccinating, we just couldn't do it without our Spin Doctor, Merlin hoof trimmer, Clovis Vet Supply who specializes in cattle supplies but always orders the weird stuff we use on goats, and the INVALUABLE help of friends and family.
With everyone's help, we drenched, poked and trimmed the whole herd. Now all we have to do is wait for the babies to come!

Seward County Community College Livestock Judging Team
~ August 18, 2012 ~
What a pleasure it was to meet the members of this Livestock Judging Team out of Liberal, Kansas. One of the team members is from Clovis, and the whole group made the trip for the Curry County Fair livestock sale on Friday night. Saturday morning, several fair exhibitors allowed the team to use their lambs, market goat wethers and steers to get some extra practice.
We are glad that Coach Brett and the team chose to visit RDS Goats to practice on a class of young breeding does later that afternoon. It was so much fun to talk about our goats!
This is a terrific group of young men and women, and we appreciate their dedication to learning more about livestock.
Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you all again in the future!

| Gotta be a Goat Thing......
It seems physically impossible for these two doelings to push their heads through a 6x6 square in the fence.
There was nothing but dirt on the other side and we had to cut the panel to get them out.
What we wouldn't give to understand the why and the how of this little picture.

You will find some of the most productive and proven Ennobled Boer bloodlines in our herd, like Sugar Girl, Sugar Cooky and Hasty Ilea, own daughters of CSG Hercules out of RRD Cannon. Our kids out of S2 Invasor, a son of the 2007 IBGA National Grand Champion Mondavi, consistently show his refined head, width through the loin, and defined hip. Lucky Lady (a daughter of Ennobled BDF Power Source, the 2005 ABGA National Grand Champion), Honey Bee (a DCW Bo-Jangle daughter) and Monier Domineaux (an RRD Gauge daughter) are just a few of the does who have brought the best characteristics of their breeding to our herd. HART1 Eve is a EGGS Tra Bullettproof grandaughter, out of RRD Cannon and RRD Ruger. She's a lovely girl, and had powerful babies out of Rippin' Tebow.
